Republican Party Website

This website is the Republican Party meeting place for residents of Henderson County Texas. Here you will find
information about the efforts to spread our conservative views to the citizens of Henderson County. You will also find
a calender of upcoming events to be held at our headquarters in Athens and other locations around the county.

At last! The Primaries are over and
we have our list of candidates for the
November Election. For the most part,
the Republican side of the Primary
operated without any major problems.
A big “Thank You” to all of you who
worked the election, we appreciate all
of your help. If you have any concerns
or suggestions about the upcoming
elections please let us know, we
welcome your comments.

I would like to extend my
congratulations to all of the
candidates who have now received
our Parties endorsement. Some of
the races were strongly contested
and I salute you on your victory. To
those of you who did not receive the
endorsement, I want to thank you for
your efforts. Our system of
government could not function if it
were not for the good men and
women who offer themselves up to
the election process. Many people do
not realize the sacrifices a person
makes when they run for public office.
So once again to all of you who
submitted yourselves to this election
process, Thank You and God Bless
You.

Now let’s take a look at the downside
of the Primary Elections. The
Primaries cause us to look at the
differences within our group and in
some cases create a split within the
Party. In some cases the damage is
deep and not easily repaired. The
challenge for us now is to reunite our
Party under one banner: “Victory In
November!” It is time to come
together, work as a team, and look to
the future for a better Texas and a
better United States of America.

Over the next few months, our
candidates will need our support and
encouragement. Please do everything
you can to help them. Visit our
website regularly as I will be posting
new information as I receive it. If you

On Saturday March 29th the Henderson County
Republican Party held its County Convention. We
elected the 28 Delegates and Alternates who will
represent our county at the Texas Republican
Convention which is being held June 12th through the
14th in Houston Texas.
We also voted on 19 Resolutions submitted by the 31
Precincts. The Resolutions that passed will be posted
on this site as soon as I receive them.

A Message to the Delegates and Alternates
Several people mentioned the possibility of a carpool
to the Convention. If you are interested please let me
know and we will move forward from there.
