| April Newsletter Our next meeting is April 24, at Vetoni’s Restaurant in Gun Barrel City . Time is 6:00pm to eat; meeting starts at 7:00pm. Feel free to bring a quest. Minutes, March 24, 2008 Mark Hall called meeting to order at 7:05pm. Members and guest where welcomed. Mark led us in prayer. Joseph Blaylock led the pledges. Connie Blaylock gave a devotional. Minutes were approved, Carol Yarboro made motion to accept, and Sharon Niendorff made second motion, passed. PAC report was given by Gerry Walker. Last report listed $1675.54 with total for this month being $2063.83. Mark Hall announced the loss of Don Geddie’s brother. Mark extended congratulations to Scott McKee for winning the District Attorney race, and Ray Nutt in run off with Tony Allison for sheriff will be April 8. Early vote will be March 31- April 4. The County Convention will be at Republican Headquarters in Athens on Saturday, March 29th starting at 10:00am. Connie announced to the members that is they are not receiving email and where to please email her at cblaylock@nctv.com. Connie is trying to rebuild address book after a computer crash. Old Business: We need to think about fundraisers and what we want to do. New Business: Olena Boner let everyone know that on April 8, voters in this area will go to Payne Springs to vote. Mitch Baker thanked everyone for their support during his race for sheriff and asked for support for Ray Nutt. Ray thanked everyone for their support in the upcoming run off. Carol Yarboro introduced guest speaker James Dark. Mr. Dark is the Executive Director of the Texas State Rifle Association and a board member of the NRA.
